The Byodo-In Temple in Hawaii

I found Hawaii a beautiful place to go and with so much to see. One of the places that surprise was the Byodo-In Temple. Located at 47-200 Kahekili Hwy, Kaneohe on the east side of O’ahu. It is a truly well-done replica of a Japanese Buddhist Temple located in Uji, Japan.

Once you get in you will feel you are in another country. Take a moment to go around and enjoy the beautiful spaces and find a good spot to meditate. They have plenty of Koi fish ready to be feed. Seriously they will come to you looking for food (Please do not feed them with brad, you can get food for them at the gift shop). You will also be able to see gooses, turtles and other beautiful birds.

The place is not that big but truly amazing so it worth to stop by, specially if you are going to visit Lanikai Beach on Kailua. They have a gift shop and you will probably be able to find a couple of local artists selling photos and other art products.

You will see on my photos a huge bell. If you go, feel free to ring it. The sound is awesome and peaceful.

You will have to pay a small fee, they have a big parking lot and a nice guy who helps you find a spot and keeps an eye on the cars.
